Dear Mr. Monfort,
Finally! The
picture I promised you - only a year late. This was taken August
1994 in front of our house on Lake Ontario - It's not usually
so clam. After the picture we took a "quick" paddle
with the three of us to show it off down the beach.
The SnowShoe
14 was a good choice for a first try; build in my dining room
totally by me. Marshal, my husband, did not help, much to his
dismay. "Trixie" the wirehaired Dachshund (30-pound
passenger) did supervise and was epoxied to sawdust a couple of
times. It took me 72 1/4 hours to complete including gluing the
scarf joints on the kit. Not bad for a novice, if I do sy so,
myself.
I'm looking
forward to some good paddling this summer.
Thank you
for all of your avdice and moral support. Now all I need is a
paddle boat!
Sincerely,
Mary Reazor

P.S. We've
also created a lot of interest. To quote one friend "When
my friends say they are into crafts, I expect needlypoint. I couldn't
believe it when my son called me in to see your canoe in the dining
room!"
