Dear Platt:
Enclosed is a photo of me in my Nimrod™ taken last October
on Huggins Lake, a 17 acre brook trout water that we manage on
State land in southern Delaware County. Unfortunately, on the
day this picture was taken neither me nor my fishing partner caught
any brook trout. We both each had one on for an instant but neither
were able to land our fish. I had caught numerous brook trout
on earlier trips during the summer and early fall, most larger
than 12 inches and some up to about 16-17 inches. The fish actually
towed the boat on some occasions. Huggins Lake is 1.9 miles back
in from vehicle access and the Nimrod is my only chance to fish
the lake from a boat. I hate those belly boats. Mostly I fly fish
and the boat is very stable, even with me flailing around with
the fly-rod. The ultra light boat is a real joy to pack in and
to fish from. I am really looking forward to building the Classic
10™ and sailing it this coming summer. Maybe I will be able
to send you a picture of me actually catching a fish from the
Nimrod in the future. Meanwhile, I hope that this photo is of
some use to you.
Sincerely,
Walt Keller
